Elizabeth was born and raised in Birmingham, England. She is the oldest of 6 girls and moved to America when she was 23 years old. She met and fell in love with her husband of 16 years. They have a 14 year old son and an 11 year old daughter. During her time here, Elizabeth has had the good fortune to live in some of the most amazing cities in America, from San Francisco to New York City.
Prior to her return to school to further her education, Elizabeth traveled extensively around the world and discovered her passion for helping women and girls to "learn to say what they want, so they can become who they were meant to be."
Elizabeth’s style of counseling is one of empathy, and accountability. While adhering to a Cognitive-Behavioral framework in therapy, Elizabeth also incorporates, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness based therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
She holds both a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice (Magna Cum Laude with Honors) and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Central Florida (Magna Cum Laude with Honors). She is board certified and clinically licensed in the State of Florida. Her clinical experience includes outpatient settings, substance abuse clinics, domestic violence shelters, rape advocacy, grief counseling, at-risk adolescent group therapy and private practice. She currently specializes in therapy to women and girls for mother daughter relationships, depression, anxiety, grieving, bullying, self-esteem, life, transitions, individual/personal coaching.
Beyond her education and training, Elizabeth also combines her personal experience to her work. With gratitude and persistence she continues to grow as a person.
